"Chicken and dumplings are far better than most, although the chicken was some preformed meat that I wouldn't eat. Dumplings are rolled in a tasty gravy. Fresh turnip greens are awesome, closely followed by fresh green beans. Husband had fried okra cooked right and nicely done black eyed peas. Small pieces of cornbread didn't go far. Hubby ordered the Holy Cow cake. Service good. Don't eat the chicken and ask for more cornbread."

"We've been meaning to stop in for quite a while now, Mom and I, and I'll tell you, for quite a while we've been missing out. Our food was so, so good!! It was so fresh and I literally tasted every ingredient on my plate. I enjoyed every bite. My biscuit was buttery, even under the gravy, the bacon was crisp, it was perfect. I also got grits because, well, grits! They stayed hot in their little bowl until I was ready to enjoy them and steamed as I chowed down. That bowl holds more than you think.. We won't wait so long to go back. On a side note Mom said the bathrooms are super tiny, so small the sinks are outside the do your business rooms.. but big enough they still work. :) Oh! And those breakfast potatoes!! They were crispy, every single one of them, they were perfect. Can't wait to go back and try something else!"

"Best little gem in Memphis! Loved the atmosphere, the food and service. Just a great down home country feel. It was our first time and we will definitely be going back. I had the Catfish filet, Mac and Cheese, and turnip greens. Catfish was seasoned perfectly, turnips weren't bitter and Mac and Cheese was creamy. For dessert I had a slice of pecan pie with ice cream. My husband had chicken fried chicken which was also seasoned to perfection and strawberry shortcake for dessert. All tasted homemade."

"Visited this place during my trip from Seattle and was not disappointed! The catfish was seasoned and fried perfectly. Delicious hush puppies and loved the black eyed peas. My parents shared a cow cake and loved it. The service was also stellar. This will definitely be a go to for me when I visit home."

"Outstanding! I've never met a hush puppy I liked, until today. Ordered extra for take out. The fried okra was both tender and crisp, as was the cat fish. The BLT was pure comfort food."
